Myriam Esteban Gutiérrez

Myriam Esteban is a Research Scientist in the Environmental Engineering Area at CEIT. She received her BA in Biochemistry from the University of the Basque Country in 2006 and obtained her doctorate from the University of Navarra in March 2014.

Her area of research is mainly focused on the biological treatment of sewage sludge and solid organic wastes. Myriam has taken part in several R&D projects related to sewage sludge treatment by means of composting, anaerobic digestion, ATAD and other technologies. Currently, she is involved in the following projects:

SARASWATI: Supporting consolidation, replication and up-scaling of sustainable wastewater treatment and reuse technologies for India.
OPTIVFA: Novel monitoring and process control system for efficient production of VFA and biogas in anaerobic digestion plant.
Diseño y desarrollo de un producto de control para operación autónoma y eficiente de reactores anaerobios para aguas residuales en la industria (2PE-SC).
