The PIE programme is a graduate course offered by the University of Navarra designed to introduce students to the business world and prepare them for entry into their professional careers. This programme is aimed at recent graduates who do not hold a paid position of any kind related to their field of study and who have not participated in this or similar programmes before. This programme is also open to students who need 35 or fewer credits in order to finish their degree.
The goal of the programme is to help students enter the world of business and professional activity by providing them with aptitude and professional skills training and giving them the opportunity to apply the knowledge they've acquired during their studies.
The programme has two parts (which are done at the same time):
Students who are chosen via open competition complete both parts simultaneously, with the help of a grant from Fundación Empresa Universidad de Navarra. is This grant is compatible with other grants, scholarships and forms of aid. Registration fees (paid by the student) are 475 €; if the programme lasts six months or less, registration fees are 350 €.
The programme typically lasts a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12. The company will decide how many terms it wants to host the student. When the programme lasts under a year, term-long extensions can be requested up until the student reaches the maximum number of months, as long as participation in the programme is uninterrupted.
How is the Programme financed?
The company or entity finances the practical training programme through a donation to the University of Navarra's Fundación Empresa grant fund. The cost is between 750 € and 900 € per month, and the foundation contributes an additional 12% into its own grant fund
The total amount a company gives to the Foundation is considered a donation and therefore is tax deductible for the company. The Foundation issues certification of the company's donation each year so it can be declared on the annual income tax form.
