Nowadays, the Design Area focuses its resources on the development of design projects in collaboration with companies and institutions.
Students have the opportunity to solve real-world design issues. They work in design projects focused on the customer, creating in this way a collaboration work between the students and the customer, either public or private.
Students gain experience in real-word design environment at the same time they know the different cultures of design companies. They get also in contact with valuable professionals from different fields which facilitate them their first job through Master Thesis and summer experiences.
Around 30 engineering students are ready and delighted with the possibility of working in a real design project. A minor investment on time and resources generates a very important research program, numerous ideas and prototypes. Some customers use this opportunity to find future employees. This kind of projects are also a good chance to consult academic staff about the latest design tendencies.
