Graduates in Mechanical Engineering will be able to participate in projects related to the design and development of machine components such as bearings, gears, flywheels, springs, screws, brakes, clutches, shock absorbers, steering mechanisms, heat engines, turbines, and hydraulic systems, all of which make machines such as trains, bicycles, airplanes, cars, washing machines, helicopters, mixers, etc. work properly
You will also be able to make calculations for concrete and metal structures that will be used for amazing buildings and structures such as skyscrapers, houses, bridges, sports stadiums, helicopter frames, chassis for Formula 1 cars, etc.
Additionally, you may be part of a team of engineers or lead teams of engineers. You may work for the technical office of a company, or at a technology centre that does research on mechanics and works on projects related to flight simulators, trains, lorries, virtual reality, computer vision, etc.
Some graduates in Mechanical Engineering go on to start their own engineering firms to provide service to other companies
Finally, because your training will enable you to communicate knowledgeably with clients as well as with providers, you may also work in sales or purchasing departments.
