Graduates in industrial management engineering are experts in organisation and are able to use various techniques, including information systems, to improve a company's productivity. You will be able to plan, monitor and improve container manufacturing processes one day, and improve the pizza delivery process in Rome the next. This will be possible because the knowledge you need to apply to situations like these are not very different.
Additionally, your technical skills, combined with your ability to negotiate, will allow you to perform sales and purchasing management tasks, particularly in industrial companies.
You will participate in projects related to the implementation of new production plants, the improvement of warehouse organisation and plant layout, the improvement in process quality, etc.
You will be able to get the most out of a company's organisation using the performance-improvement systems you implement.
You will be able to perform leadership tasks in business units, including as a company's CEO or General Manager, typically in the industrial sector but also in the logistics sector.

Your greatest contribution will come from improving productivity and efficient use of resources. This is an important contribution these days since improving productivity allows companies to be more competitive and lower costs.
