DESCRIPTION
As a graduate in industrial design and product development you will be able to work on the design, redesign and restyling of products from an overall point of view; that is, you will work on CONCEPT DESIGN.
You will know the latest design techniques, as well as techniques for calculating, making prototypes and models, and producing first series. You'll be able to make designs for a variety of sectors, including the industrial, automotive, aerospace and biomedical sectors.
From your concept design you will be able to take your client's requirements and transform them into an appropriate solution, taking into account technical and aesthetic factors and always seeking a balance between them. You will always have in mind the design's economic parameters, as well as its manufacturability and environmental aspects.
You will be able to analyse a design in depth and make improvements to it after studying the product's value.
CONTRIBUTION TO SOCIETY
As a graduate in industrial design and product development, you will contribute new products and new solutions that increase levels of convenience, safety and comfort, along with solutions that will allow more people to use and enjoy products that are currently available to only a few.
You will be able to find solutions that satisfy both the manufacturer and the client.
Your participation will be essential in a society that seeks greater competitiveness through the innovation of new products, products which add value to the market.
COMPANIES
You can work for any manufacturing company with a design department.
You can also work in consultancy firms in the industrial design area, in collaboration with the creative department.
And of course you can work in product engineering firms.
