Enrique Aymerich Soler
Enrique Aymerich is Research Scientist of the Environmental Engineering Unit of CEIT and Associate Professor at Tecnun.
He graduated as a Biologist in 2001, received a Masters degree in Environmental Engineering and Management in 2005 and obtained the degree of Doctor of Biology from the University of Navarra in 2007. Since then, he has been working in applied research projects at CEIT and lecturing at Tecnun, the School of Engineering in San Sebastian.
His principal research activity is centered on treatment and management of sludge and solid wastes. His main application fields are focused on optimising the design, operation and control of advanced technologies, such as mesophilic - thermophilic anaerobic digestion and autothermal thermophilic aerobic digestion (ATAD) of sludge, as well as composting and biomethanization of organic solid waste.
He currently participates in several research projects in close collaboration with industrial partners. He also is active in research activity, supervising two doctoral theses and participating as co-author in several scientific publications in international journals and conferences.
