Luis María Sancho Seuma
Luis Sancho is a Research Scientist in the Environmental Engineering Unit at CEIT and Associate Professor at Tecnun.
He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences in 1985, and his PhD in Biology from the University of Navarra in 1996. Since then, he has been working on applied research projects at CEIT and lecturing at Tecnun, the School of Engineering in San Sebastian.
His principal research activity is cantered on biological processes for the treatment of wastewater and organic waste. During the last ten years he has also worked in the field of membrane processes applied to water and sludge treatment. He has participated in more than 30 R&D projects in collaboration with other research centres, universities and industrial partners.
As a part of this research activity, he has co-authored more than 20 scientific publications including journal papers and conference proceedings. He has also supervised 5 doctoral theses. Currently, he is a member of and contributor to the European Water Supply and Sanitation Technological Platform.
