Javier Aldazabal Mensa
Javier Aldazabal received his PhD degree (2003) and his BS degree in Materials Science (1999) from the University of Navarra where he is an associate professor for undergraduate students.
Currently he is a researcher and associate professor in the Biomedical Engineering and Sciences department at Tecnun, within the Tissue Engineering group.
His research activity is mainly focused on computational material science, developing computational models to understand and predict the evolution and behaviour of biomaterials in real conditions.
He has participated in 16 research projects, through public calls and through direct contracts with industrial companies (many of which were international), and supervised 4 doctoral theses. He also contributed to more than 80 national and international conferences, and has authored or co-authored 24 papers which were published in international refereed journals.
