The Engineering School offers an Industrial Engineering Degree with a major in Information Technologies. Information Technologies majors dwell on the fundamental areas of the new technologies: advanced programming, internet, e-commerce, computer graphics, databases and software development. This course is part of the Information Technologies Program.
Aims of the Course The aim of the course is to develop a fundamental understanding of the organisation and operation of the information systems in a company. The emphasis of the course is on understanding how the different information systems can be integrated into a single one.
Expected results At the end of the course, a student will have an understanding of the following subjects:
- Commercial software programs currently available, their main features and their scope.
- Analysis tools for the study of an information system of a company.
- Criteria for selecting and installing information systems.
- Analysis tools for the study of the integration of different information systems.
Practical skills will be conveyed, particularly when solving the problem of integrating the different information systems that can coexist in the company.
