Elective course in 1º year in the degree in Materials Engineering. Second Semester. 6 credits. This course (and its second part Production Management II) analyzes in depth the manufacturing department of a company. Especifically, Industrial Processes: Economics and Organization analyze tools for the design and improvement of manufacturing systems. Production Management II focuses in production planning and control. The aim of this course is to present to the students the main improvement philosophies. The course also provide a group of tools used to improve manufacturing processes, according with the process management.
